Bromelain (2400 GDU/g) is included in BreathiZen as a mucus-dissolving enzyme. Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme extracted from pineapple stems, standardized in BreathiZen to 2400 GDU/g.
Curious about Why BreathiZen Uses Bromelain? Here's what actually matters, and how BreathiZen approaches it.
Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme extracted from pineapple stems, standardized in BreathiZen to 2400 GDU/g. Its job is to break down the thick structural proteins that make mucus stubborn and hard for the body to clear on its own.
Paired with Mullein, Bromelain gives a two-part approach to congestion: Mullein helps move mucus while Bromelain helps thin it. Together they support airways that feel open rather than blocked.
Bromelain doesn't work alone. Alongside Mullein, Ginger and the other botanicals, it's one part of BreathiZen's five-ingredient approach to clearer, easier breathing.
GDU stands for Gelatin Digesting Units, a measure of enzyme activity; 2400 GDU/g is a strong, well-standardized potency.
